A bit of a blur

Panning shots are great fun especially when things are quiet in the bush. The trick to getting them right is to follow the movement of the animal in a sweeping action. I usually slow down the shutter speed to 1/30 of a second or so.

For best results choose a background that has texture and a subject that is moving at right angles to you. The rest is trial and error. Suggest shoot on continuous shooting and lock your focus onto the subject. Its trial and error so expect to throw lots away.
