2009 LODGE AND HOTEL PHOTOGRAPHY ACADEMY
20-24 APRIL 2009
David Rogers will host the 2009 Hotel and Lodge Photography Academy at Steenberg
Estate in Tokai, Cape Town from 20 to 24 April 2009. The five-day certificate program
will be aimed at photographers wishing to gain experience, improve their skills and
further their career in this exciting industry. It will be limited to six photographers who will
have access to the stunning hotel, winery, rooms, kitchens and facilities. Each
photographer will also be allocated the opportunity to photograph another five-star
establishment in Cape Town. You can expect professionally styled interiors and food that
will enhance your portfolio and valuable on the job experience.
The cost of the workshop is R6400 including lectures, comprehensive notes, breakfasts,
lunches, tea and coffee. Participants should have their own camera, a tripod, a laptop,
Adobe Lightroom or similar processing software, accommodation in Cape Town and also
transport to and from Steenberg.
Photographers should apply by sending six images (maximum 1MB each) to david@davidrogers.co.za showing something of their skill and experience with a letter of
application stating their experience and reasons for joining the academy

take a briefing, and prepare a portfolio for presentation to their clients

How to Register
è Complete the Application Form and submit it along with your images to
è Submit six images that you think best sum up your experience as a photographer. These should be emailed as jpeg images, no larger than 1MB. They need not be of hotels, lodges, food or interiors – but they should reflect the area of photography in which you excel.
è All applications must be submitted by Thursday 19 March 2009. The successful applicants will be notified via email by Monday 23 March 2009. Please note: the course is limited to six participants.
è Once your application has been accepted, the full course fee is payable on/before 30 March 2009.
