Kaingo is a camp that is located in one of the most remote areas of Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park which is regarded by me as one of the top wildlife destinations in Africa. The camp, which is named after the leopards for which the area has become famous, is owned and run by Derek Shenton who is the son of one of the pioneering conservationists in Zambia. The camp has excellent service and guides and has been designed specifically around the needs of photographers. In addition to game drives around the famed Lion Plains and along the shores of this great river, we can spend our time in a hide built into the banks of the river at Hippo Corner (above) in a platform in a tree hide strategically located near a well used elephant river crossing point.
Note: The camp has a very light footprint and relies on solar power and inverters, so extra batteries are recommended and please ensure that your computer can hold a charge as computers can be charged but cannot operate from battery inverters.
designed to work back to back with the Baines River Camp 16 – 20 July departure.
Many of my clients are singles . I am sorry to have to charge single supplements but at certain times busy of year these are unavoidable costs which are incurred by camps. These amounts are kept to a minimum.
