Join Namibia expert, ecologist and photographer Sean Braine and David Rogers on a 15-day historical, wildlife, cultural expedition to explore the highlights of Namibia.
Kokerbooms
We will photograph the Kokerboom forests near Keetmanshoop at first light. An amazing opportunity to capture the graphic shapes and find more about their adaptations to these arid areas.
Luderitz
Based out of the harbour town of Luderitz, which has fascinating architecture, we will photograph the abandoned mining town of Kolmanskop which has been engulfed in sand and offers amazing patterns of light
Sossusvlei
We will be based in a lodge with early access to the dunes of Sossusvlei to capture Deadvlei and the dunes in the best possible light.
Swakopmund
A charming coastal town with German architecture and a sprinboard to Walvis Bay and its bird filled lagoons and dunes that meet the sea.
Damaraland
We will have the chance to photograph desert elephants and plants n the harsh landscape of Damaraland
Etosha
We will spend three full days inside the Etosha National Park which offers amazing landscapes and wildlife photography. We spend two nights inside the park at Okaukuejo with its very productive waterhole and another at Onguma which has excellent facilities including an eye level hide.
Erongo Mountains
We end off on our final day amidst the tumbled rocks of Erongo — a dream for photographers and naturalists.
Day 1 – Arrive in Windhoek before noon and continue to Bagatelle Lodge and spend time with the San Bushman there. 3 hours drive
Day 2 + 3 – Very early start to get to Keetmanshoop at sunrise to photograph the quivertrees (3 hours drive) and then drive to Nest Hotel in Luderitz (3,5 hours). We will have a morning and afternoon sessions photographing the desert town of Kolmanskop.
