Take along our suggested guide – David Rogers
David Rogers is one of the most experienced photo guides in Africa and has been running photographic workshops since 2005. He has run many workshops in Botswana using Kwara and Rra Dinare — he loves the game viewing, especially during this time of year, and also the fact that these lodges are some of the last in the Okavango that still use the age old skills of trackers.
Day 1: After arriving in Maun you will be met by a representative and fly by light aircraft to Rra Dinare. We will spend three nights in this private camp adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve enjoying day and night drives. The game viewing of lion, buffalo is excellent. Who knows what we may find — on one trip we saw a pangolin.
Day 4: We fly from Rra Dinare – Kwara which is an amazing camp well situated for game drives in one of the most productive areas of Botswana. We spend 4 nights here and hope to lion, cheetah, leopard and perhaps, if we are lucky, white rhino! Herds of elephants also frequent the area, as well as giraffe, zebra, sitatunga, lechwe, impala and hippos. Its possible to go on fantastic boat trips through the channels and into the deep Delta to the Godikwe Lagoon, which is known for the abundant varieties of birdlife especially during nesting season.
Day 8: Today we fly back to Maun — or perhaps you would like to enjoy three more nights visiting another reserve. The Kalahari is excellent at this time of year.
