Lodge Photography
David has photographed hundreds of leading safari lodges, hotels and island resorts in Africa and his images have appeared in numerous books and travel publications. He works along with a team of editors, photographers and videographers to create exceptional content.
Leading safari lodge photography
David and his team offer hotel and safari lodge owners very high-quality images and videos that capture the guest journey and create an enticing experience. They are skilled at planning, styling, capturing and editing travel “hero” images and video that work.
A wealth of photographic experience
Over 30 years, David has worked for many high-end safari lodges and international travel and design magazines throughout Southern and East Africa and is skilled in capturing those ‘money shots’ that sell the emotion of guests’ experiences.
Diverse photographic skills
From wildlife, to vehicles, to food, to people, to architecture, to aircraft, and industrial subjects, David and his team work quickly and effectively and will guide your property shoot, putting people at ease and capturing images that reflect the essence of safari lodges and their landscapes.
Purchase images as art prints
David has a portfolio of wildlife and nature images which can be purchased as art works to hang on your safari lodge walls or to illustrate magazines and websites. Scan our library and if you want to purchase an image please send us a screenshot and how you want to use it. Some of our art images are collectors works and we limit and number the prints to give them added value.
Editorial and travel journalism
David has written and photographed for many publications including Getaway, Sunday Times, Geo and even Nat Geo. He has also written numerous books on Southern Africa including Safari in Style and Living Landscapes of Southern Africa.
Photographic guide training
David has run workshops for safari guides to help them to take better pictures and even more importantly to help them to help their guests take better photographs and enjoy an even better photographic safari experience.
What our clients have said
Taking really good images of a lodge is an incredibly specialized art. David excels in this and has worked for us many times over the past decade capturing the essence of Onguma and its five camps with his exceptional images. He has photographed Forest Camp, The Fort, Onguma Tented Camp, Onguma Bush camp and most recently our flagship safari lodge, Camp Kala. The images have been widely published in social media and in top international travel magazines such as CN Traveller, Sunday Times UK) and The New York Times and helped put our lodges on the map. He has become part of our team and has been a pleasure to work with. David has also run many photographic trips to our properties with his own clients.” – Onguma Safari Camps, Namibia
Giant’s Camp, Klipbokkop and all the other houses and products at Mount Ceder have been beautifully captured by David Rogers on his various commercial shoots. He has also brought several of his photo workshops to our camps capturing the beauty of the landscapes and night skies.

Having worked with David for over two decades speaks for itself. His photography is spectacular, and he is even a dab hand at styling (those shoes that tell a story). Book him – you won’t regret it!

Having travelled to Zambia twice, I can safely say that this book gives the best view possible of the immense natural wealth of the country. David Rogers captures unique wildlife images and manages to show off the spirit of the upmarket safari experiences possible in Zambia.
