Private Guiding
A safari with a private specialist guide creates a seamless experience and gives you unique insights. We have a team of fun, talented and brilliant guides in our team. We know they will make your safari extraordinary.
Take our guides with you on safari
Privately hosted safaris mean you don’t need to worry about one thing. Groups and families benefit enormously from a safari host who assists with all transition days and logistics on safari. Lost a passport, the kids are sick, the flight is delayed? Your private guide has it in hand. A safari is a big investment, so let a guide make it spectacular for you.
What we love in a guide
We want our guides to ensure your holiday is fun! We look for guides with skill and knowledge, but also charm and a little attitude to keep the quietest safari day entertaining. Yes, we want you to learn about the wilderness, but we also want you to taste our food, meet our people, laugh and experience it all firsthand.
Private tours of Cape Town and beyond
Whether you visit Robben Island with Mandela’s personal guard Christo Brandt, or get up early to photograph penguins with David, or climb Table Mountain with Bulelani, go wine tasting with Charlie – our guides make your time in Cape Town extraordinary. We have hikers, birders, botanists and wine aficionados to share their knowledge with you.
What our clients have said
Dave made our stay in Cape Town really great. We all loved our time with him and can’t recommend him enough.

I cannot express how grateful I am to David Rogers Travel for organizing my trip. It was hands down the best trip of my life so far. I learned so much. I could not be happier than I am right now. Although I am incredibly sad to be leaving the bush and South Africa. The only thing I have to keep myself together is knowing I’ll be back again. I am leaving with so many wonderful memories and I made new lifelong friends.

Thank you so much for planning a wonderful honeymoon for us. We had the BEST time. We really enjoyed Cape Town, and our time with Charlie, our guide. We got to see Table Mountain and Lions Head clearly the day we arrived and we picked the right day to go down to the Cape of Good Hope and were able to see the spectacular views. We also enjoyed learning about the history from Charlie and at the District 6 museum.
